Great results for Oakley Vale school

A big congratulations are in order for Brooke Weston Academy in Oakley Vale who had a fantastic two weeks of results for their GCSE and A Level students.

Last week 55% of all A Level entries were graded at A* – B and 83% of grades hit A*- C. Over 80% of the Year 13 cohort is moving on to university. The Academy was named as the top local state school for 2015 in Northamptonshire for securing Oxbridge entries.

The success continued this week when, upon receiving their GCSE results, 83% of year 11 students secured A* to C grades, or equivalent, in five or more subjects. 77% of students secured English, mathematics and at least three other GCSEs or Level 2 qualifications. Almost a quarter of all grades awarded were A*/A or Distinction.
