A big hello and Happy New Year to all of you! We’re easing our way into 2017 and as always that means resolutions. What are you planning to tackle this year? Research suggests the most common resolutions are around losing weight, doing more exercise, or eating healthier; as well as starting a new hobby and seeing friends and family more. We’ve taken a look at how you can tackle those resolutions in Oakley Vale and Corby:
Get fit
There are loads of classes in Oakley Vale to help you tackle that exercise resolution – lots of them take place at the Oakley Vale Community Centre:
Pilates – every Tuesday from 8 – 9pm
Zumba – every Wednesday and Saturday – 6 – 7pm Wed / 10:30 – 11:30am Sat
Start a hobby
Starting a new hobby can be daunting, but it can also be really fulfilling, providing a chance to meet new people. Some hobbies you can take up in Oakley and Corby even tie into exercise and getting fit:
Jado Kuin Do – every Thursday @ OV Community Centre – 4.30 – 7.30pm
Corby International Swimming Pool
Start a new book
Some of you might’ve gotten books for Christmas, or might be looking for a read to lose yourself in over the cold winter months. Why not take a trip to the Corby Library and browse the shelves!
Meet new people
The Corby Library is a great place to meet people too, they have a Corby Reading Group that is free to drop into, or explore all of Corby’s different sports clubs.
There’s plenty to do in the area and lots to keep those resolutions intact! Don’t forget if you want to put the message out to start your own group or club, or if you’re looking for any other information, just message on our Facebook, Twitter or by email at: info@wpe.spd.agency
