Happy Friday everybody! We’re here for another round-up of Oakley Vale and Corby news and events. There’s plenty to talk about as we look ahead.
We have updates coming to our website regarding developments at Oakley Vale – keep an eye on our Future Developments and A Place to Live pages to keep informed. Oakley Vale is a great community to live in, and there’s plenty to be excited about:
- We have a great Oakley Vale Community Association and Centre that holds regular meetings as well as loads of classes to get involved in, from Zumba and Pilates to Jado Kuin Do and Councillor Surgeries.
- Oakley Vale boasts one of Northamptonshire’s highest performing secondary schools, the Brooke Weston Academy. A little further afield, there are many excellent schools in the greater Corby area which service the residents of Oakley Vale.
There’s always lots to do in Oakley Vale and Corby too. Here’s some of the clubs, groups and events coming up:
- Natasha from the Corby and District Cats Protection got in touch with us to let everyone know that you can follow their work on social media, both Twitter and Facebook – let’s help re-home some cats and kittens!
- 21st January – What music reminds you of your homeland? Paula Boulton’s recently composed orchestral suite, The Sounds Of Home, is inspired by Corby people’s responses to that question. You can hear the piece performed on Saturday.
- 25th January – Burns And Beyond will see a group of Scotland’s finest performers who will entertain you with an evening of songs and stories celebrating the works of the bard along with musical delights stretching from Jazz to Broadway to Operetta.
- 28th January – Join Made in Corby for a crafty afternoon with their Big Day In!
Don’t forget if you want to put the message out about your own group or club, or if you’re looking for any other information, just message on our Facebook, Twitter or by email at: info@wpe.spd.agency.
