We hope your week has been bearable – especially with some of this ice cold wind we’ve been experiencing. Summer can’t come quick enough!
We have some news for you from a new Corby campaign that has been launched this week – Corby Clean & Proud. Corby Clean and Proud is a business-led campaign that looks to bring the community together to raise awareness about litter and to take all the steps we can to ensure it is reduced.
It was launched this week by The Mayor of Corby, Leader of the Council and a number of local businesses and community leaders – including our very own Emma Goodwin the Principal of Oakley Vale Primary School! She was recently profiled on our I Love it Here page.
Corby Clean & Proud have Facebook & Twitter pages if you want to check those out! If you are a business owner, or interested and would like to find out more or join the campaign then you can email info@corbyclean.co.uk. This seems to be an issue that a lot of people are passionate about so it will be very interesting to see how the campaign progresses!
In other news the deadline for our Photo Competition has been set! On February 28th we will stop accepting nominations and soon after we’ll announce our first winner of the year – who will receive £50. Don’t forget a further £50 will go to the Oakley Vale Community Centre! You can submit your photos here.

Wedding Fayre @ Best Western, Rockingham Forest – 11th February – Planning your big day? Well the Best Western is holding a Wedding Fayre! There’ll be complimentary entry with arrival drinks and canapes. Experienced Exhibitors will also be on hand to help you plan your day.
