Community News in Oakley Vale!

Happy Friday everyone,

We’ve seen some glances of sun this week – which is a sign hopefully of better things to come! It also means there’s some perfect opportunities on the horizon for you to take a snap or two and submit them to our new Photo Competition!

We wanted to give a shout out to some fun community news this week that we saw on Twitter. Don’t forget to visit our social media pages where we try our best to share the great things going on in the local Oakley Vale community.

One example was at Lakeland Hospice this week where a student from Brooke Weston Academy – Winston Ho – played viola for the day patients. Winston also volunteers at the hospice every Friday to help patients on and off the minibus.

Elsewhere the staff at Oakley Vale Primary School have been doing their best Strictly Come Dancing impressions this week as they practice for the staff dance which is happening at Oakley Vale’s Got Talent on Thursday 29th March! You can get tickets from the school reception!
