Have your say on Corby policing – Weekly Blog

Happy Friday everyone!

We hope you all had a great long Easter weekend – the weather was a bit hit and miss at times but I’m sure it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! We hope you’ve enjoyed this short week too and that you’re ready for the weekend once more.

Before we get onto our main reminder for this week, don’t forget our Photo Competition is live once more – and you have a chance of winning £50! We’re well into Springtime in Oakley Vale, which is our theme for this latest competition.

So whether it’s baby lambs on the fields, daffodils blooming in the sun, or a fun day out you’ve had locally – take a snap and submit it on our Photo Competition page! Or by sending to our Facebook or Twitter page.

Have your say on Corby policing

Corby police are encouraging the public to have their say on Corby’s policing priorities for 2018! Last year, as a result of requests and feedback, the police force worked with Northants Fire and Rescue Service to raise awareness in Oakley Vale around parking and speeding.

Given recent concerns that have been raised both to us and others, perhaps the speeding that often takes place on Butland Road could be a focus of the police’s attention this year? What do you think?

If you want to have your say, then fill in this survey – www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/87NGF5Y.

What’s On?

Of course while Easter weekend has passed us, the children are still on holiday so our update on what’s on in the coming week features some of the holiday clubs and facilities the little ones can make use of:

Corby Council Facilities – Don’t forget that there are a lot of sports facilities available to make use of across the holidays. Tennis, Badminton and Short Tennis are on offer also at Lodge Park Sports Centre for just £1 per person, per hour, from 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday. Or get some friends together for a kick about on the astro turf for just £10 per pitch, per hour between 6.30am- 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Call 01536 400033 to book places.

Textiles Workshops – Running until 9th May – Over 8 weeks, join artists Carole Miles and Phiona Richards from The Eloquent Fold to explore women’s rights through textiles.
