Happy Thursday everyone!
The week has flown by, but it does mean we get to make a very exciting announcement. After lots of amazing submissions and plenty of votes cast, we can now announce the latest winner of our Photo Competition, Winter in Oakley Vale!
It was very close and there weren’t many votes in it, but taking the crown for her amazing entry is Claire Sager! Congratulations Claire – take a look at her winning photo in all it’s glory below.
It is a wonderful photo, capturing one of our area’s many birds in a brief moment of rest. It takes a steady hand and a great eye to get a shot like this! Claire has been an avid entrant to our competition since the first iteration and is finally rewarded! She will receive a £50 prize, as well as seeing £50 be donated to the Oakley Vale Community Association.
New competition now open!
This does of course mean that a new competition is now open. If you visit the Photo Competition page you will find all the details you need!
The theme for the latest competition is Springtime in Oakley Vale and you have until mid-May to submit your entries.
Please remember – we have had a few people submit the same photo multiple times, please be assured that after you’ve submitted it once, it has reached us. We verify and approve each photo, which is why the photo doesn’t appear straight away – but have faith it has worked!
