The much-anticipated GCSE results day finally arrived yesterday morning. The schools local to Oakley Vale saw some great results and we can imagine the students had lots of fun celebrating. In this blog, we will be giving you a round-up of the GCSE results for the schools in the local Oakley Vale area.
Brooke Weston Academy
BWA students achieved exceptional GCSE results yesterday, with 86% of students securing a 4 or above and 72% scoring a 5 or above in English. In Maths, a remarkable 87% of students scored a 4 or above, with 73% securing a grade 9-5.
Almost a third of all grades were awarded the higher 9-7 grades, a great result for Brooke Weston Academy.
Also, 40% of students achieved the English Baccalaureate at grade 5 of above which is over double the national average!

Corby Business Academy:
Students at CBA also did very well, with Academy seeing improvements in attainment performance measures at GCSE level. They saw a 4% increase in students achieving grades 9-5 in English and Maths. Particular success was seen in Maths with a 7% increase of students achieving a grade 9-5, brilliant results!
Corby Technical School:
CTS also celebrated a positive set of results with significant improvement in progress and a number of students achieving the top 9-7 grades. 70% of all CTS’ students attained at least 5 9-4 GCSEs.
The school also saw great successes across its technical subjects including computer science and sciences.
