Hello July! With the sun gracing our wonderful community and more signs of a new normal emerging, we’re hoping to see Oakley Vale soon return to the bustling, lively area that it always has been.
This month, we’d like to highlight a few ways in which you can enjoy the surrounding areas as well as having your say as to what comes next for Oakley Vale.

The latest government announcements
Following the recent government guidelines, lockdown restrictions are to be eased further on 4 July. We’d like to remind members of the community to respect the guidelines and understand that not everyone will feel comfortable with the reopening of communal places. We’ve shown a great sense of community and have grown even stronger throughout the pandemic so it will be brilliant to see this continue into the future.
The Harpers Brook will be reopening again soon, so it’s great to be able to look forward to that. The Oakley Vale Community Centre will also be hopefully reopening in the not too distant future.

Have your say about the Oakley Vale Local Centre
We’re seeking the views and opinions of local residents about what you’d like to see included in the new local centre that’s being designed as part of the final development phase of Oakley Vale.
With construction due to commence on the new phase in early to mid-2022, with the local centre following in the next year, we’d love to hear what you think of the provisional plans and have your say about what you’d like to see there!

Get involved with the latest photo competition
In our last blog, we announced the return of the Oakley Vale photo competition! We have had some excellent entries so far and would like to see even more over the next few weeks.
Not only is this a great way to get outdoors and explore all the wonderful places on offer in and around Oakley Vale, but a chance to get creative with your camera skills!
You can submit your photos on the competition page here – we’ll be accepting entries until July 31st.
