GCSE Results Day: How to cope with the nerves…

As GCSE Results Day draws closer, as does the worry of what lies in your envelope. But fear not, here at Oakley Vale we will ensure that you are all reassured ahead of the big day.

Instead of tormenting yourself on whether you have achieved your desired grades, read our advice and list of support that will ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible.

Our advice on handling those GCSE results day nerves…

  • Be Proud – No matter what results you get, you have worked hard, and you should acknowledge this!
  • Opportunities – Whether it is A-Levels, Apprenticeships or Vocational Courses, there will be something for everybody to take on within their next steps after GCSEs.
  • Be Open – Talk to those closest to you whether that be family or friends; they will always be there to support you.
  • Make a Plan – Be organised, know when and where to collect your results and think about your next steps if you don’t get the grades you were hoping for.
  • Sleep – Make sure you get enough rest! Enough sleep will put you in the best possible frame of mind ahead of the big day.
