Great Oakley

Oakley Vale is located next door to Great Oakley Estate, village and park, an historical rural area of Northamptonshire.

The village of Great Oakley, south of Oakley Vale on Oakley Road, has medieval roots and was even mentioned in the Domesday Book. The Great Oakley Estate has been in the ownership of the de Capell Brooke family since 1575. In 1991 the family was behind the opening of the Brooke Weston Academy, now one of the country’s finest state schools. The de Capell Brookes continue to support Oakley Vale.
