Oakley Fest brings the community together
Oakley Fest returned this summer, bringing residents together for a day of entertainment, activities and local talent.
The event featured local stalls, live performances and a dog show, with new performers CATS joining the programme this year. It was also an opportunity to support local entrepreneurs and the many people and organisations who contribute to community life in Oakley Vale.
A fantastic selection of photographs from the day captures the people, performances and community spirit that made the event such a success.
Oakley Rangers making music together
Oakley Rangers provides local people with an opportunity to come together through music, with regular Saturday practice sessions taking place in the community.
The group has also been working on a recording of GAIA, which is currently being edited.
We’ll be sharing more from Oakley Rangers as their work develops.
Community Speedwatch supports safer streets
Oakley Vale Community Association continues to support Community Speedwatch, helping to raise awareness of speeding and encourage safer driving through the community.
The initiative forms part of the Association’s wider work to represent residents and address issues affecting everyday life in Oakley Vale.
Residents come together at OVCA meetings
Oakley Vale Community Association holds regular meetings giving residents an opportunity to hear about local issues, ask questions and have their say.
Meetings cover a wide range of subjects affecting the community, including local healthcare, roads, environmental issues, policing and anti-social behaviour, with councillors and guest speakers also joining discussions.
The next meeting takes place on 16 September 2026.
