Easter Egg-stravaganza and spring adventures in Oakley Vale this April

Easter weekend is almost upon us, and there is no shortage of ways to make the most of it here in Corby.

With the spring sunshine finally making an appearance, it’s the perfect excuse to get outside, enjoy some quality time with family, and take part in all the community fun on offer (though don’t “cast a clout ‘til May is out!”).

From colourful egg hunts and local fairs to the circus coming to town, there’s something for everyone. We have a blog packed with ideas for the Easter Holidays in and around Corby, so read on to plan your springtime adventures.

Safety first: Safer Communities Team visits Oakley Vale Primary School

Our local primary school recently welcomed a special visit from the Safer Communities Team.

This was part of Oakley Vale Primary School’s ongoing work with the national Beep Beep! campaign, an initiative by the road safety charity Brake.

It’s a fantastic programme that helps even our youngest residents learn ‘road safety basics’, such as holding hands near traffic and recognising safe places to cross.

The highlight of the day was the police vehicle, which was a massive hit with the children.

A huge thank you to our Neighbourhood Policing partners for supporting this initiative and engaging with the next generation of our community.
