A Place to Grow

Oakley Vale is a warm local community where you can get involved in a host of events and projects. The Oakley Vale Community Centre opened in 2013 reflecting the needs of the growing population and provides a range of activities for the whole family to enjoy such as dance classes, coffee mornings and youth music lessons.

The Oakley Vale Community Association also holds bi-monthly general meetings which allow residents to get involved and have their say on local issues. Every Sunday the St Benedict’s church group holds an afternoon service in the community centre.

A neighbourly community

Oakley Vale is surrounded by fellow communities offering their own slice of life to explore. The nearby village of Great Oakley, for example, offers a range of amenities to the residents of Oakley Vale. It is home to the Great Oakley Medical Centre and St Michael and All Angels church which runs a regular Sunday service.

Meanwhile, Great Oakley Village Hall provides a number of events for the local community, from Brownies to dance classes, T’ai Chi lessons, and weekly coffee mornings.

The local Great Oakley Cricket Club is home to both adult and junior cricket teams. They are always looking to sign up new members. Whether you want to join in or simply watch a match with your family, the cricket club welcomes everyone.
