Last weekend saw Oakley Vale Community Association take part in the Armistice Day services on behalf of the residents of Oakley Vale. A parade set off from the grounds of ATC Base in St Mark’s Road at 10.20am and finished at the cenotaph in front of St John’s Church. The outside service was led by the Rev Paul Frost followed by a two minutes silence and wreath laying – picture supplied by Paul Balmer, OVCA Chair.

This weekend the public are invited to explore Corby in Pictures – a dazzling display of digital art, puppetry and music created by local people, exploring their hopes, dreams and personalities. The event is free and taking place from 6pm in Queen’s Square, Corby.

The Oakley Vale Community Association is still on the look-out for volunteer gardeners to do some light gardening at the Community Centre. If you can help please contact Paul Balmer at – [email protected]

This week saw artist Richard Janes attend the Oakley Vale Community Association meeting and present a miniature scale version of his sculptures which he will be creating in Oakley Vale! (picture belongs to Challenges Chris – Facebook).
