#FridayFeeling – Winter weather, Britain’s Best Surprise and more

It’s Friday again, we’re well into February and the weeks are flying! We’ve got plenty to update you on this week, not least a bout of winter weather potentially coming our way this weekend – you can read more about it here – so remember to wrap up warm and stay safe on the roads.

We are part of a new and exciting project, Northamptonshire – Britain’s Best Surprise, which is looking to promote Northamptonshire as the great destination we know it to be – whether that’s day’s out, weekend visits or making it your home. So keep an eye out for it’s launch in March.

We are always looking to support local projects in promoting the great and good of Corby, so it’s worth mentioning another great website Made In Corby, who often have some great news and stories.

In other news we recently shared a great video interview with Richard Janes who is creating a sculpture to be erected in Oakley Vale. You can watch the video, where he explains his thoughts and inspirations for the piece, here.

The fantastic Our Woods project continues this weekend with Late Developers Photographic Group, supported by Corby Community Arts, organising 15 gentle woodland walks using digital media, photography and sound to record the natural beauty in and around Corby. Read more here.

The Oakley Vale Community Association is looking for volunteer teams to organise another family fun day in the near future so get in touch with Paul Balmer, the Chair, on paul@musiconearth.co.uk for more info.

Don’t forget there’s also a new series of Corby Arts Podcasts has begun with the first podcast set for release on 17th February via Corby Radio and social media.

If you want to put the message out about your own group or club, or if you’re looking for any other information, just message on our Facebook, Twitter or by email at: info@wpe.spd.agency.
