We attended the latest Oakley Vale Community Association meeting on Wednesday which was very productive – lots of strong connections in and around Oakley Vale and some great comments on possible additions to our website. We also found out that on a recent 3 hour walkabout of Oakley Vale the following bird life was spotted – Jay, Lark, Siskin, Fieldfair, Thrush, Wren, Wagtail, Lapwing, Starling, Robin, Magpie, Blackbird, Dunnock! Great to hear how Oakley Vale is such a flourishing area.
In other news Easter is fast approaching and there’s lot’s to get up to. If you need a place for the little ones there is SPLAT Holiday Camp which is running across both weeks from as early as 7:30am through til 5:30pm! Find out more on our calendar.
The Lakeland Day Care Hospice are hosting a great event in March to fundraise for their hospice. Nana Konadu invites Lakelands Hospice to her wonderful restaurant, Maamalicious, in Corby, for an authentic Caribbean experience. Enjoy a delicious hot buffet with an array of mouth-watering Caribbean dishes, limbo dancing and afro reggae beats til late. Tickets cost £15 per person.
