Happy Friday and Happy Easter… well almost! Some of our local schools, like Oakley Vale Primary, are off for Easter from today and we hope all the children have a safe and happy break. We’ve been blessed with some beautiful weather this week and we hope it continues – although it does make it harder to be at work!
You can keep an eye on our Oakley Vale What’s On Calendar for all the best information about what’s going on over Easter and across April.
Tonight the Lakeland Day Care Hospice are hosting a great event in March to fundraise for their hospice. Nana Konadu invites Lakelands Hospice to her wonderful restaurant, Maamalicious, in Corby, for an authentic Caribbean experience. Enjoy a delicious hot buffet with an array of mouth-watering Caribbean dishes, limbo dancing and afro reggae beats til late. Tickets cost £15 per person. To book your tickets call Marina on 01536 747755.
If you need a place for the little ones over Easter there is SPLAT Holiday Camp which is running from next week for two weeks on weekdays from as early as 7:30am through til 5:30pm!
We’re adding a new page to our website next week which will be a place for local residents to share what they love about Oakley Vale! The ‘I love it here because…’ page will feature profiles of local residents and we want to hear from you! Email us at info@wpe.spd.agency if you want to get involved. Our first case study from Mr Paul Balmer, Oakley Vale Community Association Chair, will be live next week so keep an eye out!
