What to do this Easter weekend!

Happy Thursday! – It feels strange saying that, but we’re bringing you our blog a day early this week and that’s because it’s Easter! The long bank holiday weekend that we always look forward has come around again. We hope you have a brilliant weekend with family and friends.

If you’re short of things to do and are looking for some activities we have you covered! Take a look at our What’s On calendar for a full list – but here’s some highlights:

  • Sat – Easter Hunt – Lodge Park Sports Centre – Come down to the Lodge Park Sports Centre to join the Easter Hunt. There’ll be a prize for the best bonnet, as well as other games with prizes. Dinner and drink for children is included in the admission.
  • Sun – Easter Sunday Funday – East Carlton Park – East Carlton Park will be have FREE admission and lots of activities from 11am on Easter Sunday. Best Decorated Egg, Xplorer Easter Egg Hunt and an Easter Bonnet Parade.
  • Sun & Mon – Children’s Easter Egg Hunt – Rockingham Castle – Family fun abounds as Rockingham Castle and gardens throw open the doors and gates on this, the first Bank Holiday of the year. The season officially begins with the ever-popular children’s Easter hunt in the magnificent gardens featuring the famous Elephant Hedge and Rose Garden.
  • Tue – Our Woods – Continuum – Come on a time-travelling walk with artists Miles & Dacombe and discover frozen moments in time. See the woods in a new way through artworks installed in the woodlands in a magical and sensory exploration in this part of the ancient woodland of Rockingham Forest.
