May Events – Rockingham Horse Trials, Comedy, Drama & More

Happy Friday everybody – we’ve seen glimmers of all weather this week and we’re hoping that we keep the good stuff more than we do the rain! But regardless there’s lots to get up to over this weekend and next week.

Firstly though, as with last week we’re continuing to call on any local residents, new or old, who would be up for featuring on a new page on our website! We want to profile some of our residents to give people a feeling of the area and the people who make it so fantastic. So if you’re interested just let us know on Facebook / Twitter or via info@wpe.spd.agency.

Friday 12th – Going Viral (Show) – Daniel Bye, the award-winning maker of The Price of Everything and How to Occupy An Oil Rig, presents an urgent, fantastical story from the front line of an epidemic. Intimate and epic, hilarious and tragic, Going Viral is a unique blend of storytelling, playful comedy and performance lecture. Book tickets.

Saturday 13th – Lake District Challenge 2017 – Are you ready for a challenge? Join the Lakeland Hopsice on their latest fundraiser! Contact Paul Marlow at Lakeland Hospice by emailing paulmarlow@lakelandshospice.org.uk  for more.

Tuesday 16th – Open Mic Night – Harpers Brook Pub returns with it’s fantastic open mic night! Whether you’re a singer, musician, poet or comedian – come along and share your talent from 7:30pm.

Friday 19th – Rockingham International Horse Trials – This month brings a unique event to Corby. The world-renowned Rockingham International Horse Trials will be held on Rockingham’s Great Park with beautiful views over the Welland Valley. Find out more and buy tickets here.

Friday 19th – Screaming Blue Murder Comedy Club – Don’t miss out on the Friday night comedy club in The Lab. Sit back enjoy many of comedy’s rising stars in a relaxed and informal setting with its own pop up bar. Book Tickets.

That’s it for now, but keep us posted if you have an event or class using the same info as above and we’ll share it as best we can.

Have a great weekend!
