Happy Friday! Another week has passed us by and there’s been lots of progress on different aspects of our website, which we’re excited to tell you about!
Next week (Thursday to be extact) we will be launching two brand new pages to our website that we’ve been working on for the last couple months to make our site even better and more interactive. Take a look below at more details and how you can get involved:
I love it here… – This page is dedicated to the people who make Oakley Vale what it is – the local residents, businesses and institutions. It features profiles of local people talking about what brought them to Oakley Vale, why they love it and how they’d describe the community in 5 words. We already have a selection of profiles from local people, but we’re looking for residents to contribute all the time so send us an email or message on social media to see the questions and be a part of our site!
Picture of the Month – Oakley Vale and its surroundings have some areas of outstanding beauty, perfect for walks, and made even better by the changing seasons throughout the year. We wanted to showcase this and what better way than through the cameras of local residents! On this page you’ll be able to submit your photos of Oakley Vale into our Picture of the Month competition. People will be able to vote on the pictures submitted and the winner will feature on our website and become our cover photo on our Facebook & Twitter for the next month!
We’re excited to be bringing you these new pages and we hope you’ll help us share them and spread the word – as well as submit your own profiles and pictures. Now a quick look ahead at the next week of things to do and be aware of in Oakley Vale:
- Tonight – Don’t miss the Friday night comedy club in The Lab. Sit back enjoy many of comedy’s rising stars in a relaxed and informal setting with its own pop up bar. Book Tickets.
- Tuesday 23rd – Russell Kane – In this brand new show, Russell Kane unleashes another blisteringly-funny, award-winning stand-up performance about growing up and growing down. Read more and see times and tickets.
- Wednesday 24th – Corby 5 Mile Race – Fancy yourself a runner? Take part in this fast 5 mile race on quiet rural roads in Northamptonshire. Organised by Corby AC as part of the EMGP summer series. Check out the event page.
- Thursday 25th – Annual Council – Your chance to attend the Corby Borough Council’s annual full council meeting @ Council Chamber, The Cube, Corby.
