Happy Friday folks!
Our blog this week focuses on the opening of the Oakley Vale sculpture which is taking place this Saturday!
Meet at Butland Road play park at 2pm and if you’re one of the first 100 people to arrive you will receive a free ice cream! So bring the little ones! The artist who designed the sculpture, Richard Janes, will be on hand to chat and meet everyone.
After the unveiling you’ll be able to follow the ‘leaf trail’ to the Oakley Vale Community Centre for tea, cake and soft drinks – as well as music from Kara Hamer and the Oakley Rangers.
This is an amazing moment for the community, and will be a wonderful addition to our scenery for the years to come. Be sure to take your camera and take pics and share them with us! We’ll be sharing and adding our favourites to the Photo of the Month competition.
