Happy Friday everyone!
We hope you’re and are enjoying the return to normality after last week’s wild and wintery weather. It seems strange to think that it was only a week ago that the country was almost at a standstill!
Photo Competition
Last week was also when we closed our first iteration of our Photo Competition – our winner was Paul Finn. You can still see his winning photograph on our Photo Competition page.
We have now launched our new photo competition theme, which will be Springtime in Oakley Vale as we continue with the theme of seasons for this year. So we would love to see your entries start coming in over the coming months as the flowers, wildlife and weather of spring starts to blossom in the community. How you capture that beauty is completely up to you – there is no criteria other than the theme and anybody can enter regardless of age or experience!
Submit your entries via our Photo Competition page and don’t forget to leave your contact details and you could be the next winner of £50! We will also be keeping up the accompanying £50 donation that will be made to Oakley Vale Community Centre.
We want your opinion on our website
This website was established almost two years ago now, with a view to provide the public and people who may be looking to move to the area with a snapshot of this wonderful community – as well as providing the community itself with somewhere to find out about news and celebrate themselves.
We want to continue that work and possibly take it even further this year and for that reason we want your opinion on our website!
Is there something you’d really like to see added to the website? Would you like more of a focus on the local schools, or wildlife, or perhaps more info on the upcoming development – would you like to see more videos and images?
We’ll be asking these questions on our social media over the coming weeks but we want to give you the opportunity to have your say. If you have an idea or some feedback on our website then drop us an email at info@wpe.spd.agency or message us on Facebook or Twitter – we want to hear from you.
