Happy Friday folks!
What a beautiful week it’s been – we hope you’ve managed to catch some rays in your travels this week. We have a couple of updates this week – including a look at What’s On this weekend! We want to wish our local MP Tom Pursglove luck in his London Marathon run this weekend – it’s looking like a hot one! Read about why he’s doing it here.
Safety in Oakley Vale
Unfortunately we have to kick off the blog this week with some more serious issues. Firstly, Police are appealing for information following a number of burglaries and suspicious incidents in the Oakley Vale area of Corby. Several incidents have been reported to police during February and March, where sheds and garages have been broken into and items stolen. There have also been reports of a man and woman entering driveways and gardens and trying car and house doors.
Elsewhere a 24-hour speed enforcement operation by Northants Police reported over 400 speeding offences across Northamptonshire. As we have documented a couple of times on this blog, Oakley Vale has some of it’s own issues with speeding and this offers another reminder of the importance of being vigilant and safe when driving in the area.
