Good afternoon everyone and happy Friday! We have some exciting news to share with you today as well as a Mother’s Day reminder for all those who may have let it slip their mind…It’s OK we’ve got your back.
So let’s begin with the exciting news. The Flying Scotsman train is visiting Corby once again – aren’t we lucky!
The Flying Scotsman is an express passenger train service that has operated since 1862, adopting the world-famous name in 1924. The Flying Scotsman was the first express passenger train to reach 100mph and took passengers from Scotland to London in 4 hours. It has also travelled across America and Australia before returning to the U.K.
The train will be passing through Corby at around 9.55am on Saturday June 29th 2019.
Last time the train passed through Corby, roughly 2000 people travelled from far and wide, to line the tracks and have a glimpse at the iconic locomotive- so make sure to get there early to ensure you have the best view!
