International Children’s Day- celebrating in Corby!

In this week’s blog we want to shout about International Children’s Day and how we are celebrating it in Corby (and share some activities just for the adults too)!

International Children’s Day

This Saturday (1st June) is International Children’s Day! The 1925 World Conference for the wellbeing of Children proclaimed June 1st to be International Children’s Day, to draw attention to many issues relating to the wellbeing of children such as, education and poverty. The day is universally celebrated by showing children just how much you love them by giving them a fun day out.

So, to celebrate, there will be a big, free, all-day family funday at Coronation Park in Corby from 12pm-6pm.The day will see performances from Skelding School of Highland Dancing Corby, Costello Irish Dance, Deep Roots Tall Trees and many others.

There will also be face painting, live music, bouncy castles, arts & crafts workshops, food stands (including candy floss!), tombola and much more.
