Happy Friday everyone – the weekend is here and we’re hoping for a sunny one. Of course if you do end up being stuck inside, it’s not so bad – especially when we have three of the biggest British sporting events to look forward to – Wimbledon, The British Grand Pix and England in the Cricket World Cup Final!
If you do find yourself wanting to head out this weekend – why not make your way to Fermynwoods on Saturday and join Alec Stevens in a search to find evidence of the activities occurring in the forest, find out how a forest functions for a contemporary visitor, and reveal how we as a society have used this most primal of spaces. Head here for more info.
The Grow Festival & More
There’s more dates for your diary coming up too, not least The Grow Festival – which is coming up at the end of this month.
This year’s festival, commissioned by Made in Corby and co-produced by The Core at Corby Cube takes place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July 2019 and will once again animate the town centre with hilarious street performers, magical family pop-up shows and spectacular art, all inspired by the theme of ‘food’ and celebrating all things culinary!
Also coming up on Saturday 27th July is an outdoor cinema event! Taking place at East Carlton Country Park, there’ll be screenings of Peter Rabbit and Bohemian Rhapsody. Find out more and grab your tickets here.
