Despite the festival cancellations in the news, Corby has had a great week for family fun with the B-Active festival and we have another exciting one to mention in this week’s blog!
Family time
There are many benefits to spending time with your family and attending family fun days! The obvious one being, they’re lots of fun and a great way to relax and enjoy the company of your family without having to spend copious amounts of money.
However, they also have many other benefits. Family fun days and family time allow for better communication and stronger emotional bonds between each other. Research also shows that it can have a huge impact on a child’s confidence and academic performance too.

LunchBusters
A quick but very important mention to the LunchBusters, a fantastic initiative set up by Lyn Buckingham and Maria Bryan.
LunchBusters was created to help families who are struggling to find the money to feed their children this summer. For many families who just about make ends meet in term time, really struggle to provide that extra lunchtime meal over the summer holidays. This is why the lunch club has been set up, so families can attend and get a free lunch for themselves and their children, overall a really great initiative.
