Fall in love with Oakley Vale this Valentine’s Day

Hello and welcome to our February blog! Known as the ‘Month of Love’, February brings with it Valentine’s Day and all things attraction and affection.

This month, we’re doing things a little differently and have decided to showcase why we love Oakley Vale, from the people and communities who make it so special, to the wide range of activities there are available here – we’ve got it all covered. So, let’s get right down to it because we’ve got lots to highlight!

Oakley Vale Primary School

One thing that makes Oakley Vale and Corby extra-special are its brilliant schools. None more so than Oakley Vale Primary School who made headlines this month when they were awarded the Diabetes UK’s Good Diabetes Care in School Award 2021 for providing exceptional care to students with diabetes.

Lynsey Wray, who recommended the school, said:

“The staff consistently update me at the end of each day on my daughter’s blood glucose levels and call me immediately if they have any concerns. They always respect her needs and privacy. Their communication is second to none and I am in no doubt that she is in experienced and caring hands. My nomination was my way of saying thank you and to show my appreciation for all that the school do.”

Well done Oakley Vale Primary School, we’re so proud! You can read more about the story here.

Event Highlights

February isn’t just about Valentine’s and romance – it can also be a month for self-love, self-care, and spending time with family and friends. And where better to spend an evening with good company, or on your own, than Corby Cube? As always, it’s hosting lots of events which we can all look forward to throughout February! Here’s our pick of the bunch:
