Oakley Vale mourns the passing HM Queen Elizabeth II
–
Oakley Vale joins the chorus of tributes and condolences being paid, following the death of our Queen Elizabeth II.
She was a constant for all of us for 70 years – a reign defined by her grace and strength of character. She will be deeply missed.
The bells of St Michael’s Church, Great Oakley, tolled the muffled bells from 12 noon to 1.00 pm on Friday 9th in remembrance of the Queen. And a book of condolence is in the porch of St Michael’s Church, Great Oakley, for anyone who would like to sign it.
Books of condolence can also be accessed in the Corby Cube, George Street, Corby – or online at : https://www.royal.uk/
Furthermore, floral tributes are of course coming in across the country. In Corby, these can be lain on the lawned area on the lower level flower terrace closest to the bus shelter at George Street.
We will keep our website and social media channels updated with local events across the next week.
Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory HM Queen Elizabeth ll
