Recent wins for Corby Sports Teams 

While we’re soaking up the best of international sport , we can’t forget to celebrate our local heroes, too. 

Clearly, there’s a lot to cheer about in Oakley Vale this month… Our local teams have been busy racking up wins and gearing up for some of their last games of the season. 

  • Corby Town FC Walking Football: A big shoutout to Corby Town FC’s Walking Football teams. They recently competed in the Harborough Hornets Tournament in May and came away with some well-deserved prizes, including the runners-up prize for over-50s and Champions League trophy for the over-65s! 
  • Corby Town Girls Puma U11: The U11 Pumas played their penultimate game of the season on 18th May in Kettering. Captain Jorgie displayed incredible skill, completing a hat-trick and leading her team to victory! Their determination and fighting spirit were inspiring… Keep reading for details on their final game. 
  • Corby Town Steelwomen: The Steelwomen dominated their last home fixture against Kingsthorpe Kets, playing in front of their biggest crowd of the season. A fantastic display! 
  • Stewart & Lloyds Corby Cricket Club: It’s been a month to remember for S&L Corby Cricket Club. Two of their key players recently earned a spot on the Northants Honours Board – that’s three weeks in a row for S&L in May!
