Exciting update for Great Oakley
Our beloved playpark, a true community treasure since 1991, is getting a much-needed makeover!
For over three decades, this space has been a place of laughter and happy memories for many local children. Now, it’s time for a fresh and exciting chapter.
A huge thanks to North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) and dedicated councillors like Simon Rielly, who have secured the funding to bring their new vision to life. The plans have been crafted based on community feedback, ensuring our revamped park meets everyone’s needs.
You may have noticed that the first phase of work is underway. This initial stage will focus on creating a spacious and safe environment, with modern play equipment like swings, slides, and climbing frames.
Following this, phase 2 will enhance the surrounding area, creating spaces for families and friends to come together and adding features that encourage active lifestyles.
We’ll share more updates as the project progresses. Read all about the plans here.
