Happy Friday everyone!
We hope your week has been okay – if it hasn’t, well the weekend is here so you have time to rest and recover! We have some new updates for you this week.
We recently spoke with Emma Goodwin, who some of you may know as the Principal of Oakley Vale Primary School, for our I Love it Here page. This follows our previous profiles of local residents Claire Sager and Sam Sheppard.
We asked her a number of questions about working in Oakley Vale, what the school means to her, and how she’d describe Oakley Vale as a community. One of the questions we asked her is below:
What do you love about living/working in Oakley Vale?
“It is great to be part of a relatively new community which continues to grow in diversity. We are very fortunate to have a great site of which the school is built which allows the children to have a creative learning environment both inside and within the grounds.”
You can read all the questions and her answers here – and be sure to read the other profiles while you’re there! They give a great insight into the people that make Oakley Vale what it is.
Now here’s some things to do in the Corby area for the rest of this first month of 2018:
Sarah Millican: Control Enthusiast – 19th Jan & 20th Jan – Sarah Millican is not a control freak, she’s a control enthusiast. She even controls her own insults, see? Do you arrange the nights out? Are you in charge of passports on holiday? Then so are you! This wildly popular comedian comes to Corby – get tickets!
Fleetwood Bac @ The Core, Corby Cube – Fri 26th January – Endorsed by Mick Fleetwood himself and raved about by Peter Green’s biographer, Fleetwood Bac are regarded as one of the UK’s most authentic Fleetwood Mac tribute shows with an accurate replication of the classic Rumours line-up.
Corby Campus Open Evening – Tue 30th January – Whether you have decided on a course, or are just investigating your options, the Corby Campus Open Days provide an ideal opportunity for you to see exactly what Tresham College has to offer. Remember to pre-register your place to beat the queues. Find out more.
Have a great weekend!
