Capturing a March snowfall: Rajinda wins our Photo Competition with her charming photo of Oakley Vale cloaked in snow
The winning photograph captured the beauty of winter, as the season lingered into spring and brought us frosty mornings and bright white skies. It reminds us that winter can be the most picturesque time of year and we love how Rajinda has found elegance in this spot that transforms Oakley Vale into a winter wonderland.
Rajinda’s keen eye has captured the delicate details of snowflakes resting on the tree branches. A glorious farewell to the remnants of winter’s beauty.
After a remarkable selection of entries, we’re thrilled to be launching our Summer Photo Competition in this month’s blog. Inspired by Rajinda, the theme will be ‘Summer Moments in Corby.’ Entries will open until September, so you have plenty of time to plan your sunny bucket list and capture your favourite summer memories!
Take part in fundraising events across Corby this summer
Lakelands Hospice is hosting two events in Corby over the summer months as part of their fundraising efforts.
- Summer Fete – Sunday 16 July – 11 am until 3 pm
Fun for all the family! Packed with a bouncy castle, ice cream van, fire engine, circus entertainer, performances, cake and craft stalls, refreshments and lots more, taking place at Lakelands Hospice.
50p for adults, FREE for children and dogs
- Lakelands Dog Show – Sunday 28 August
Register your furry friend at 12 pm for their chance to win in the selection of categories, including Cutest Puppy, Waggiest Tail, Prettiest Bitch, Most Handsome Dog, Best Cross-breed, Best Junior Handler, Judges Favourite, Best Rescue Dog, Most Appealing Eyes, and Golden Oldie.
