Oakley Vale? More like Spookley Vale, as Halloween has officially entered our town.
We’re excited to see Corby come alive this month, with a host of creepy events and wholesome activities.
Before we jump into the month ahead though, we’re reflecting on September. It was a month of transition, with students returning #BackToSchool (did you see our tips on helping you manage those first day nerves?!), as well as plunging into what felt like an early winter.
But, whilst the nights may be getting darker, let’s try and find some moments of gratitude, whether it’s an autumnal, leaf-crunching walk amongst some boo-tiful scenery (read here for places to enjoy in Corby), or a cozy evening with a warm cup of tea, the sound of raindrops, and an easy read.
Back-to-school buzz means Open Evening season!
September may have flown by, but that doesn’t mean the excitement of a new school year has faded.
With students settled back into their routines, many schools in Corby are gearing up for Open Evenings. If your child is heading to secondary school next year, this is your chance to peek behind the curtain, get a feel for the school environment, and ask any questions you might have.
Thinking about a school switch, or choosing a secondary school for your child? Corby boasts a brilliant range of excellent schools, which recently celebrated some exceptional GCSE and A-Level results. We shared an update on student success on our ‘A Place to Learn’ page, where you can learn more.
