Britain’s Got Talent’s The BIG Sing coming to Corby this November

The crisp chill in the air, those darker mornings, and the inevitable small talk of the clocks changing are a sure sign of November’s arrival in Corby!

And with recent Halloween festivities behind us, there is still plenty to look forward as we embrace a merry start to winter.

November kicks off with a bang as we welcome Bonfire Night, and is set to end on a high as The BIG Sing – as seen on BGT – is coming to Corby for a Christmas special.

Before we get to the heart of our usual What’s On this November in Oakley Vale, though, we’re sharing a shout out to the Oakley Vale Community Centre‘s latest coffee morning, which raised over £300 in aid of Macmillan!

So, cosy up and read on…

Oakley Vale Community Centre raised over £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Oakley Vale Community Centre’s coffee morning was held back in September, and everyone in the local community was invited to pop along to enjoy a coffee and/or a cake while raising money for a good cause.

Oakley Vale Community Centre chairman, Peter Moden, had hoped that the coffee morning in Corby could raise £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support, however was still delighted with the £335 they ended up raising.

He said: “We did really, really well. It was so well attended and we got £335. I was aiming for £500 but I was really happy with £335.”
