Oakley Vale – Volunteers needed!….

Happy Friday everybody!

It’s blog time again and this week we’re focusing on opportunities to do some volunteer work in Oakley Vale! As we’ve seen already, from last week’s blog, that there is a lovely community here willing to help each other out.

The local Barnardos, based at the Oakley Vale District Centre, is looking for volunteers to help in their shop. The charity supports children and young people in a variety of ways and we’re sure your support by volunteering whatever time you can will be hugely appreciated. You can call Luke at the shop on 01536 744 823 for more info.

Also looking for volunteers at the minute are our good friends at the Lakeland Hopsice – a really important feature of Oakley Vale and one that we’re very proud of. You can contact Jackie on 01536 747755 for information on their opportunities. Don’t forget you can also find out more about the fundraising manager at the hospice, Paul Marlow, on our I Love It Here… page.

We will be sharing more info on these volunteering opportunities, including times etc. when we receive it. If you know of any other volunteering opportunities then let us know. Now to this weekend and there’s some exciting events you could get involved in – take a look:
